• Service refers to the Application.
• Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

TreadTrail collects minimal personal information:

• Email address (for account management)
• First name and last name (to personalize your experience)

While TreadTrail is a fitness app, we do not collect health metrics, fitness data, location information, or biometric data. Your workout data (including run statistics, completed workouts, and personal settings) is stored in our secure database and associated with your account.

Workout and Activity Data

TreadTrail collects and stores data related to your workout activities. The extent of data collection depends on whether you are using the free version or are a premium member.

For All Users:

• Workout completion records
• Workout duration and distance
• Basic pace metrics
• Workout frequency
• Workout dates in calendar format

For Premium Members:

Premium members' data includes all of the above data collected for free users, plus the following additional data:

• Detailed pace and speed analytics
• Incline settings and patterns
• Advanced workout statistics
• Calories burned (as calculated by the app)
• Personal records and achievement tracking
• Custom workout settings and preferences
• Historical performance trends
• Detailed interval breakdowns

This workout data is associated with your account and stored in our secure database. It is used to:

• Track your progress over time
• Generate statistics and insights about your running habits
• Provide personalized workout recommendations (premium feature)
• Enhance your overall experience with the app

Your workout data is not shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes. If you delete your account, all associated workout data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Usage Data

TreadTrail automatically collects certain technical and behavioral data when you use the app.

This Usage Data includes:

• Device information: Device model, iOS version, screen size, storage availability
• Technical information: IP address, device identifiers, time zone settings
• App interaction data: App open frequency, feature usage, navigation patterns, session duration, last active session
• Performance metrics: App load times, response times, crash reports, error logs
• Feature engagement: Which workout programs are used most frequently, interface preferences

This usage data helps us understand how users interact with TreadTrail, identify technical issues, optimize performance, and make informed decisions about app improvements.

Crash Reporting

TreadTrail uses a third-party crash reporting service to help identify and fix technical problems. When a crash occurs, the service collects:

• Technical information about the crash
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Actions leading up to the crash

The crash reporting service does not collect personal identifiable information such as your name or email address. The crash data is used solely for app improvement purposes and troubleshooting.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service and improve user experience.
• To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.

• With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, for crash reporting, or to contact You.

Third-Party Services

TreadTrail uses third-party analytics services to help us understand app usage patterns and improve our service. These analytics services collect usage data as described in the Usage Data section above. We do not use advertising networks and do not show advertisements within our application. We also use a third-party service for crash reporting as detailed above.

Apple HealthKit

TreadTrail does not integrate with Apple HealthKit and does not read from or write to your Health app data.

Data Storage and Security

Your account data, including your name, email address, and workout information, is stored in our database. Our system is designed so that users can only access their own personal information and workout data.

All data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. Users outside the US should be aware that their data crosses international borders and is subject to US regulations.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), TreadTrail's legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

TreadTrail may process your Personal Data because:

• You have given us permission to do so
• The processing is in our legitimate interests, part of a product features, and it's not overridden by your rights
• To comply with the law

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.

To request deletion of your account and associated data:

1. Go to the Settings section in the app
2. Select "Delete Account" option
3. Confirm your decision

When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:

• Your personal information (name, email)
• All your workout data and statistics
• Any preferences or settings associated with your account

Please note that the deletion process is permanent and cannot be undone. The data will be removed from our active database within 30 days of your request.

We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so. If this is the case, we will inform you of the specific data we need to retain and the reason.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Our Service does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
